Occurring twice a year when the Sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the equator, these celestial events, or solstices, were immensely important to the ancients.
Humans in general don't seem to care too much about solstices these days whereas our distant ancestors built monuments of epic proportions to celebrate the events; we created this room for the same reason. A cushiony Queen bed takes center stage in our own delightful "monument." Large windows on the north and east side allow in gobs of sunlight and the ever tranquil sounds of the rushing creek below. Mount Shasta to the east and Black Butte to the north proudly sit as constant reminders of your mountain paradise. Solstice shares a bathroom with Sunset and Equinox.
